About Me
Dr. Dana Carter grew up on the south shore of Long Island. After traveling outside of the country to go to veterinary school, she returned to work and gain experience at various animal hospitals and shelters in Suffolk County. She has been practicing for over 14 years and has decided to remain in her home town and dedicate her time as a small animal house call veterinarian.
Dr. Carter is grateful to live and work on Long Island. Helping animals is her passion and she could not see herself doing anything else. If you are looking for a caring and compassionate veterinarian, contact us!

What Pet Owners Say
"Very Professional"
"Dr. Carter has been taking care of my dog for 10 years now. Working with her is like having a personal veterinarian that treats your animal, like it was her own. She is the best!!!!"
"Great Service"
“Dr. Carter came to our home to give our dog stitches after she cut her side open on some patio furniture. She was very thorough and professional and our dog is well on her way to recovery!
It was great having the procedure done in our home where it was less stressful for our dog. We highly recommend her for any vet services you could ever need!"

"Kind & Loving"
"Dr. Carter has been taking care of my fur babies for years. Now that she’s mobile it’s even more convenient since it’s hard for me to bring both dogs in. She did my standard poodle’s spay and gastropexy. My poodle also has tricuspid regurgitation so being under anesthesia is a little scary. Dr. Carter preformed the surgery fast and kept my mind at ease the whole time."
